Pricing engine, pricebook, and a CRM under construction

YieldOS

Pricing, pricebook, and the beginnings of a CRM

Beta

The pricing engine, versioned pricebook, and vendor-cost reconciliation are the parts we would put in front of you today. Customers, leads, jobs, technicians, and a dispatch board are built and running. Invoicing and payments are not, and stay in whatever system you bill from now. It plugs into the CRM you already run, and it is becoming one.

What you get

  • One pricebook, on every truck, for every tech
  • Flat-rate prices that hold when a vendor raises a part cost
  • Quoted price reconciled against vendor cost, line by line

How it works

  • Two pricing models on a pure, tested engine: cost-banded markup — the formula a real shop runs, mirrored out of its live repricing engine — and target-margin, with a margin floor, memberships, coupons, tax, and charm rounding.
  • Vendor-cost reconciliation picks an approved cost from the evidence, flags the extremes, and holds anything with no evidence at all. The import engine was proven on a real 2,387-item pricebook: 35,847 vendor-cost rows, parsed in about nine seconds.
  • A customer, contact, lead, membership, and installed-equipment layer with a dispatch board over technicians, jobs, and appointments. Estimates snapshot every line at the moment of sale, and export back to ServiceTitan, QuickBooks, or a signed webhook.

What is built, and what is not

YieldOS is being built in the open, in the order the work actually matters. Here is the boundary, drawn where the code draws it.

Built and running

  • Pricing engine — cost-banded markup and target-margin, with a margin floor, memberships, coupons, tax, and rounding. Tested.
  • Versioned pricebook, vendor cost tracking, and cost reconciliation that holds anything it has no evidence for. Tested.
  • Import engine for CSV and ServiceTitan dumps, preserving the raw row. Tested.
  • Good/Better/Best estimates that snapshot every line at the moment of sale, and a customer-facing proposal PDF.
  • Customers, contacts, locations, leads with a pipeline and a convert action, memberships, installed equipment, and an activity timeline.
  • Technicians, jobs, appointments, and a dispatch board. Jobs can be raised straight off an approved estimate.
  • Estimate export back into ServiceTitan, QuickBooks, or a signed webhook.

Not built

  • Invoicing. There is no invoices table. You bill from whatever you bill from today.
  • Payments and accounts receivable. Same answer.
  • Live two-way OAuth sync with ServiceTitan or QuickBooks. The payloads and the signed transport are written; the token exchange is not wired.
  • Automated tests over the CRM and dispatch layer. The pricing, import and reconcile engines have 55; those newer modules have none yet.
  • The offline field app. Planned on Tauri with a local SQLite cache. Not started.
